well, took the mount off, filled the underside ring with epoxy resin,
cut off the top area, sanded it and blacked it out, put it on the 10d,
cringed as I edged in the zoom and, it bloody well works perfect and ill
be buggered its not far of the 20-35 l lense I have for quality,
canon engeneered this lens not to fit anything else to force people
wanting canon wide angle to pay big bucks for a 17-35 l.
It cost me £70 on e.bay for a brand new one, £4 for epoxy as I wanted to
keep the inner ring, so thats £74 for a 18-55mm f3.5 canon lens for my
10 d and it works and looks good.
Nice when the little man gets one over
