2460 - getting into bios - which key again ?

It's not standard on all Tyan mobos because they use everything from
Phoenix to Award to AMI. Each one has a different way of doing things.

I thought the way to get into the BIOS was DEL. You just keep pressing
DEL after the memory finishes counting (or you skip it), then you
should be able to get in.
