Hi

I'm just putting together a KT4VL with a 2600+ and a single stick
(double sided) of 512Mb PC2700.

The BIOS bootup screen says XP 2000+ and Processor clock is 1667Mhz.

Any idea why it cant tell its a 2600??

The only thing Ive set is FSB to 133. I tried changing the SDRAM
frequency from AUTO to 333 but this didnt help.

The BIOS is v1.8

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. I'm building this for my
cousin and I'm supposed to be taking it over there tonight!!

Oh in case anyone is wondering it definitely is a 2600+ I checked the
numbers on the CPU before installing it.

Thanks for any info.

Ian

Hi,

I think the FSB should be 166Mhz as your CPU has a 333FSB (I have the same
one).

the 2600+ can run at both 266 and 333.....
it is a little confusing...but i agree your FSB is too low...set to 166
