Hey I've got a 39160 SCSI card with the 3.1 bios on a thunder k8w with bios 1.02
and if I enable the sata chip the scsi bios malfunctions with "scsi controller
configuration error ff" and "eeprom failure using defaults" messages. Is there
some magic I have to do to get this to work? Thanks.

It seems that the ethernet and sata "option roms" are always using up bios
extension space, even when they are "disabled". Is there a magic setting to
REALLY disable the roms, while leaving the devices active? The SATA one seems to
always use space even when there are no sata drives attached (!?). Thanks<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Sorry for my english but i'm a french man

On K8W, i have a similar problem :

I have a sata disk to boot and a 29160 with 5 disk for data and i have no
problem only if sata is on raid mode.

Sata in normal mode, i can't boot on sata with 29160 installed. I hope than
help you.

After upgrade bios from 1.01 and 1.02, computer don't boot. I have reinstall
os and now no problem.
