could you be refrring to the famous 72 pin RAM. 36*2=72, so count
pins both sides.

OTOH googling shows them as SIMMS not DIMMS, so I wonder if maybe the
pins were only on one side.

I remember 72 pin EDO RAM. Around 1995 maybe. P60,P100,P120,P133
e.t.c. days.

There is 72 pin EDO RAM on ebay.

Same post (with slightly changed Subject) posted all of 1 minute later
than your second post and all of 1 minute later than your first post.

Time to see a doctor since you have an extreme AADS.

Had you asked once, I would have helped, but turning on my newsgroup and
finding the same message 3 times immediately gets everyone's back up!

Yes...I agree !

I was just about to send the guy all of my old 36 pin RAM...
That old stuff that most of us will remember was made with ***GOLD***
and worth hundreds of dollars.

Heck I had it all boxed up and was just about to mail it to the guy...
but then saw that he posted ***3 times***.

Sheesh. Even though the value of the GOLD itself was worth maybe $500 or
so...
I was so upset I gave it all to the local alchemist...who just turned it all
back into lead.

It's bullets and batteries now.

There are 30 pin and 72 pin SIMMs. I will assume you need
72 pin because you only counted one side of the module.

These are not hard to find, determine if you need "Fast
Page" (FP or FPM) or "EDO" and then search for what you
need. For example,

Pity I just threw out a box of about 30 or 40 matched 32MB pairs the
other day, thinking they were useless...

The 72 pin SIMMs have 72 contacts on each side for a total
of 144 contacts. The corresponding contact positions on
each side are connected together. This also applied to the
30 pin SIMMs which had to be installed in pairs to provide
60 connections for the power, address, data, and control lines.

Yes you are right! Thinking back I don't know how I was
thinking only 72 as they're much too small for there to be
only 36 per side.

I have to admit that I had the advantage of physically
handling one to refresh my memory before I replied to
your post. I didn't have to count the pins as pins 1
and 72 were numbered on each side of the module.
