I think the problem is related to the install incorrectly recognising the
BIOS type and installing the ACPI BIOS when it needs the non-ACPI or another
type. When you do the very first part of the installation with the blue
screen and it says "Windows is inspecting your hardware" (or similar) and
then comes up with "Press F6 to add other devices", Press F5 or F7 (I can
never remember which) and it comes up with another menu asking for you PC
(BIOS) type, select the most appropriate option for your board and if this
does not work, try another the next time.
