hi, have just recently installed a barton xp3000+ 333fsb cpu, and my temps
at the moment are about 45c, is this to high, or is it ok? and what could i
afford to go up to?

That's a decent temp. Anything under 50C is good.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

That's well within respectable limits - I have my motherboard monitor
warning kick in at 60c, i'm happy with anything below that...under 50c is
great.

O/C'ing My 2500+ Barton - Ok, I'm new to O/C'ing and would like to get some first hand advice. My system is as follows. 2500+ Barton MSI KT4V-L MoBo 2x 256 PC2100 GF FX5200 Lots of coolling including ram heatspreaders. I'm pretty sure I'm lucky enough to have an un-locked CPU....

48C for barton 2500+ ok? - I just bought a Barton 2500+ and overclocked it to 3200 by raising the voltage to 1.75v (reading 1.776v ) and FSB to 200. It was not stable with lower voltages. I am using a Vantec Aeroflow cooler and Artic Silver3 paste. The tempearture is gone up to....

barton 2500+ at 2200 MHz - My Barton 2500+ at 11 x 200 shows in Prime 95 some errors and I increased vcore to 1.775... Now is stable... In Prime 95 (torture test) shows 52 deg C max.... Zalman 7000 Al-Cu at 2400 RPM. If zalman is 1350 RPM that temparature was 59 - 60 in torture......

Barton? Or not Barton? - I just received an XP 3200+ advertised as a "Barton". How can I be sure it's a Barton? Also, How do I decipher the alpha/numerics to see if this one is OC'able? Thank you. J. NY 'Sniper'
