I just bought a Barton 2500+ and overclocked it to 3200 by raising the
voltage to 1.75v (reading 1.776v ) and FSB to 200. It was not stable with
lower voltages. I am using a Vantec Aeroflow cooler and Artic Silver3
paste. The tempearture is gone up to 48C with heavy load using
Folding@home. During this comming summer it will probably go up another 6-8
degrees C. Will this be a problem for long term use.

Hi,
nope that's fine. It could be a bit lower, but a overclocked XP2500+
running at about 2.2GHz would be about 50°C under load. If you can cool
your case better you may find that your CPU temps drops maybe another 5-10°C

I use an Antec slk3700amb 'cause it has 120mm intake and exhaust fans for
quiet efficient case cooling.

Look for the Antec 3700BQE also. It's the quiet version of the AMB. It's
available online for good prices.

I'm using one now with an Athlon 64 3200+ and the Zalman 7000-Cu. CPU temp
never breaks 45C under full load.

Hi,
try the *SX835II - Performance Series II Mid Tower*

I just bought two of these cases, their *Big* and have room for *FIVE* 80mm
fans lol. I have four fans connected (6 including the 2 in the PSU) and the
case temps are about 25°C. This case has been around for a while, wish I
had bought it sooner! At this price including a quality 350W (dual-fan)
PSU. . .what a bargain!

ANTEC website:

Newegg $79.00
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://tinyurl.com/2blhf" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/2blhf</a>

I didn't choose the AMB series as I don't like doors. . . .

I'll second the Antec "SX835II - Performance Series II Mid Tower". There is
enough room to swap CPU's without removing the mobo from the case! I use
Vantec Aeroflows on both systems. That's roomy! Great Power Supply also.
Enough for 220x10 with my XP2500 @ 1.725v. Very happy with these cases!

Thanks for all the replies. New egg has these cases around $70 - $80 plus
$15. I will also check Fry's to see what prices they have before buying.

Thanks everyone!

No. Just keep the fans/hs dust-free. Check 'em if your temps go higher than
expected.
