61G2 Frustration!!

Hi there

I've recently upgraded my main machine to become the 61G2...

During the transitional period I opted to utilise the onboard graphics of
the 61G2, now I have everything across [data wise] to the G2 I wish to use
my trusty old Matrox G550 AGP card in the new machine.

No problem! I thought, uninstall the Intel drivers and software, bang in the
Matrox and fire-up the machine... nope!!

The Matrox does work... well, during both the POST and the Windows XP
loading screen, but once the annoying intro jingle has played... NOTHING!!

Help!! I really have no idea as to what the heck is going on and indeed
why!!!
