Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>msi-microstar (more info?)

Has anyone encountered this problem? Im thinking it might be the ram. This board supports upto 768mb of ram and i have a single 512 which reads as 256, the max ammount for a ram slot. I used the 512 because i have no other replacement at this time but i am looking at getting the correct ram for it.

Would this cause it to randomly freeze up? It usually only happens when working with windows maximizing them ect. When i work it from a remote terminal she seems fine.

Any ideas? -- i already upgraded the bios

thanks for the help
