I bought an s-video adaptor for my xbox. Is it possible to run the
xbox though my video card and display it on my LCD monitor? If so, how
do I get it to display once I connect the s-video cable?

probably not unless your monitor has a s-video connector or your card has
s-video.

Only if yer 6800 GT has an S-Video In and not an S-Video out.

I suspect 'tis an S-Video out for connecting yer comp to yer TV.

What model is it?

that would be s-video out for the xbox and also s-video out on the 6800gt.
Neither have s-video inputs.

It is a nvidia 6800gt. It has a HD-VGA, VGA, and S-video ports. So, I
can't run my xbox through my computer onto my monitor...darn.
