Hi,

I have a new Chaintech 7NIF2 motherboard that uses the nVidia nForce2
chipset. I also have an AMD Barton 2500XP 333 CPU.

Can anyone tell me if this board will handle this CPU? Do you need a
motherboard with a special chipset to handle the new Barton CPUs?

When I put this CPU on the board I can't boot. When I put a regular ol'
Athlon 1333 (133 bus) it boots just fine.

Can I use this CPU on this board?

Thanks in advance,
Keith

Have you tried a newer bios? I'm not sure if this will help though,
because ver. 2 of the motherboard manual does not list the 2500+ in
it's compatibility table. It's still worth a shot though, try the one
dated 4/18/2003.
