Has anyone done any performance tests between the Intel and Promise RAID
controllers using SATA drives.

I have two WD Raptors on the Promise, I thought this would be the best
solution.

i figured/guessed on the promise.. have a pair of 40gb drives in raid 0
mode as boot and my dvd burner and dvd player on Pata and then a 120gb sata
on the promise controller

Have read that the Intel control is faster with raid 0.
