Hello
Can anyone help!!
875p Neo-fis2r motherboard, as a result of my stupidity I destroyed the usb
on this board
PS/2 keyboard was working

When windows had shutdown the psu was making an awful squealing noise so I
disabled USB
support in BIOS. (made no difference).
Then I unsoldered the offending chip on the motherboard (had a small hole in
it!!)
Computer now works with a PCI USB2.0 card and a PS/2 to USB converter but
has no onboard PS/2 ports! or USB that work

BUT
I have no access to the BIOS as the usb card is not recognised untill
windows starts!
Does anyone know if clearing the BIOS using the jumper will turn back on USB
support
and if it will allow the USB keyboard on a PCI USB card to work during the
Boot process
I need to reinstall windows and obviously need a keyboard to do so

Why not get a cheap PS2 style keyboard for 3 pounds?

Can't you reset the bios by removing the battery or shorting the
apropriate jumper?
AFAIK this will reset the bios to it's factory defaults, with the USB
functions enabled?

Good luck,

André
