Yes and yes, I'm using an 2400+ thorton right now.

The fastest CPU you can shove onto this board is the MP2800+, provided you
have the latest BIOS, which can still be downloaded from EPoX's website. The
"MP" distinction is important, for this processor has a FSB rating of 266.
The "XP2800" runs at 333MHz and won't work on this board without
modifications. Unless I am mistaking, this is also the only Barton core
(512K L2 cache) you can use with this baby. I'm quite happy with it!

Thanks for the reply. The XP 1800+ is installed and running fine, although
it's locked tight as a drum. Completely non-overclockable.

It still beats the duron OC'd to 1825 mhz.

Are the MP's hard to find? Never heard of one.
