If you haven't got an issue with the board then flashing to a
new version isn't necessary and puts the chip at risk.

1. How does it put the chip to risk?
2. I just wanna flash it so that I can pop a 2600+ into it in the future and
NOT have to worry about it then.
3. What is Added support for 2400+ and 2600+ CPU micro code? I have a 2400+
now.

If something goes wrong during the flash like a power failure the chip
could be damaged, it`s a small risk.

In all honesty though, you`re probably not going to notice the
difference between a 2400+ and a 2600+

Then I will upgrade it for this micro mode thing, whatever it is. Razz

What is it?

BTW, I agree, I probably will not notice the difference between 2400+ and
2600+!

If you want a 2600+ then just set your multiplier to 8x in the BIOS and
you'll have one. 133x16=2128Mhz
