Quite often when I return to my PC after it has been in standby mode I find
that it is emitting a steady tone through the PC speaker. Moving the mouse
or touching a key brings the system back to life and the tone stops. I tried
disabling the fan speed and CPU temperature warnings in the BIOS "PC Health"
settings but this has not made any difference. This is a 8KNXP v.2 board
with the latest "FE" bios. Anybody else having this problem?

No, I haven't, but that's an interesting idea. I'll give that a try this
weekend. Thanks!
