8KNXP (Rev2) Sound/Audio Question

Talk about frustration ... all that I would like to do is hook up 5.1
speakers, a microphone, and my headphones to the onboard sound (Realtek 658)
of this Gigabyte GA-8KNXP (Rev.2) motherboard.

Tell me this can be done without having to go behind my computer every time
I want to switch between listening through headphones and 5.1 (by switching
the headphone miniplug with the Front L/R miniplug)

Can the Line-In not be used for Headphone out (another Front L/R) instead?

Or even if the software had a button to allow me to toggle the Front L/R
output between the Line-In jack (headphones) and the Line-Out jack (Front
L/R speakers in the 5.1)

Anyone?
