Not the same price. 20% difference, actually. Cheapest 9600GT 512MB is $180 at Newegg; cheapest 8800GT 512MB is $220. Remember, the 9600GT is just the beginning. There is a 9800GT coming around March/April, according to HardOCP. http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ0MCwsLGhlbnRodXNpYXN0 The 8800GT will likely be discontinued at that point. i.e. they will become increasingly difficult to find in retail. -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. That's $190 after MIR. Not the same. (Though it's still a good deal.) 9600GT Questions - I see that the new nVidia 9600GT cards are out and doing high core clock and memory clock numbers, but they also have fewer "stream processors" than the 8800GT cards. What does that mean? That the 9600GT cards aren't as powerful as the 880...
