I have a P4IBMS mainboard http://www.ecsusa.com/products/p4ibms.html. I
recently re-installed Win2K, this time, Win2K will not recognize the
on-board audio. I have uninstalled devices allowed Win2K to "Find new
hardware", it found "PCI Multimedia". I have used new/old AC97 audio
software for the mobo.. Still, no device for AC97 in the device manager. Is
there something else I should try? Any suggestions as to how to get the
system to recognize the on-board audio?

Thanks in advance,
Blitz

I have the same problem with the ECS 848-A7 P4 motherboard running Windows 2000......I've tried installing the latest driver from ECS website and later from Realtek's website but I still get the same error....when it tries to install the audio driver it tells me that it was unable to do so because it has invalid data.....Did you ever fix the problem? PLEASE HELP!
