Post subject: ACER Altos 600 M25D Mainboard (also known as an Aopen DX34 Plus) bad flash
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>aopen (more info?)

I have flashed my Acer Altos 600 board with an aopen DX34 plus bios
because i thought that it was exactly the same board. The bios flashed
succesfully, but now i get this message:

0211 I2C Interface of Device(s) Error, System Halt A0

It first succesfully counts memory and detects the second cpu. But
then gives the message described above.
It doesn't matter if i connect or disconnect the I2C connector to the
backplane. The Fan i2c Connector was never connected. (CN13 en CN16).

What should i do...
resolve the i2c puzzle?
Or pull out my bios chip and get a new one from Acer computer?

This is a real setback for me, and im always having bad luck with
those (Aopen) bios flashes.

Anyway, can somebody please help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance,

eeh,

Made a big mistake. The DX34 doesnt hame BMC connectors like the acer
altos 600 (m25d). And since the bios update the bmc board has been
blown.
The BMC board is connected to the i2c bus, wich explains the i2c
error.

So, 1 advice.. don't update from acer to aopen dx34 plus.
