Most opinions are that it's pretty much similar to the NF7-S V2.0. The only
significant difference being it has the uGuru gizmo the usefulness of which
is open to debate.

There was also quite a big thread in the USA Abit forums, which got closed
by Abit, after the first buyers noted that a mod had been done on the boards
'post production' which involved cutting a few 'traces' on the underside of
the board.
As well as general instability problems that are being posted I would find
it difficult to suggest that they are a worthy successor to the NF7-S.
Abit also mentioned that this would be their last Socket A board.

If you really wanted to buy this board over the NF7 I would hold back just a
little while and see how things work out with the first boards being
'modded' and how stable they are in use.

Ive had this board for a few weeks now and it has been fine, Ive manged to
clock my 2600xp barton to 2433mhz, just got to get it stable now. I had the
nf7-s v2.0 before this and this board will reach 210 fsb with this chip the
nf7-s wouldnt but they both have the same chipset.

Upto you really , theres not much difference.

The cut trace is no longer there on the latest AN7's.
I've been running a NF7-S V2.0 for many months and I should take delivery of
an AN7 tomorrow so give me a few days and I'll be able to make a direct
comparison.

Ah that's good to know, regarding the latest version of the board.

I look forward to your feedback on the board Smile

Out of curiosity where are you getting it from and is have they released a
new revision to distinguish between the 'cut' board and the latest one..?

as far as I can tell, the AN7 is identical to the NF7-S except it *doesn't*
have the SoundStorm audio, but does have this new hardware logic chip
*uGuru* which measures temps. voltage etc better than the NF7-S
