Hi

I am planning to buy an ASUS P5E, Intel E8500 or E8400 and Crucial
Ballistix 2Gb of DDR2-1066 RAM. Will i have any problems with this
combonation? Can i run the RAM at 1066. I plan to leave everything at
stock...

Thanks
NBK

I've got the same except I'm using cheap 800 RAM with the E8400

I don't know if the BIOS will automatically run you ram at it's full rated
speed on stock settings.
In my case the appropriate divider was chosen by the BIOS to run the ram at
it's rated speed.
If yours dosn't run full speed you can always manually set it in the BIOS.
However if you aren't overclocking I'm not sure if there is much value in
purchasing the faster ram.

There is a good ASUS x38 thread here.
