Here is what i have on my system:
nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000 dual head video card, 128 MB RAM
dual NEC LCD monitors attached
Spanning both monitors horizontally
Windows XP Pro SP1
all current MS updates, including DirectX 9.0b, latest and greatest
I purchased an ATI TV Wonder Pro card, since it supported nVidia
I have it installed, downloaded all the latest and greatest drivers for it.
I installed Windows Media Encoder 9.x. I downladed teh latest MMC software
and drivers, all installed.
When i go to click on teh TV program (which is why i bought the damned
thing) it says it cannot initialize the video for the TV Player. i get this
over and over and over and over...
I go to the ATI site to try and resolve this issue. There solutions are to
make sure you have the latest video drivers (I do), that you ahve the
lastest DirectX (i do), taht your video card support overlay (i'm sure it
does), set graphics hardware accel to full (it is), insufficient display
resources (i have 128 MB ram, should'nt be a problem).
if anyone has successfully gotten the TV WonderPro to work with an nvidia
card, please help me!
Currently, i installed the Multimedia Center version 7.6, but it still
doesn't work. I initially installed version 8.8.
Help!
Thanks,

Alan,
Did you installed the ATI DAO/MDAC ?
Can you see the ATI TV Wonder drivers in the Device Manager ?
Try to install the Windows Media Encoder after installing the DAO/MDAC

_Everything_ is installed.
WM Encoder 9.x
ATI DAO/MDAC
Latest ATI Wonder drivers
MMC 8.8
its all there, along with all the latest XP/DirectX goodies.
It should be working, it is not. This is my dilemma. Why won't the TV
application - specifically - not run, and complain about no signal? How can
i further determine what the hell is wrong?
As i said, i have dual monitors. Could this mess it up at all?

no, not an option. This is a brand new ASUS/AMD motherboard. There would
be no incompatibilities.
