Installed 2K on my mobo 6738 but getting the old "Safe to turn off" at
Shutdown although it's an ATX board. Cannot see anything about ACPI in
Dev Mgr. IPCA is enabled in the MSI bios but probably was not when I
installed the OS.
Read about the trick of booting from 2K CD, press F5 when it prompts
F6 but then you need an MSI driver for drive a: to change the Computer
Type. Does anyone know where I can find a file to activate ACPI in 2K
for this board. No luck on the MSI site. The problem hardly warrants
an OS reinstall. Surely there is a way of backtracking to get the ACPI
files on without desperate measures?

Solved it - just run the 2K CD as an upgrade. So long as ACPI is
enabled in the bios the upgrade finds it without having to reinstall
the OS and without losing anything from the old install
