Post subject: AX4SPE-N DDR RAM speed help
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>aopen (more info?)

I am building a system with the following components:

AX4SPE-N, Celeron 2.2, 512MB 333Mhz DDR Ram, GeForce4 FX5200...

Why does the BIOS report my Ram as running at 266Mhz? On boot up the
BIOS report shows DDR Ram as "Default 333 / Current 266 Voltage
Auto/Auto" ??? In the BIOS settings I have DDR Bus Freq set to Auto
and the only other option is 2.66.

Does anyone know how I can get the Ram running at 333Mhz?

Thanks

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

this is because you are using a 400mhz bus cpu. With I845 motherboard, in
order to be able to use DDR 333mhz, you need to use 533mhz bus cpu (like p4
B). So unless you overclock your cpu bus, you cannot run your ram at 333mhz
with a celeron.
