Hello Guys !!!

I know this is a classical title, before posting I tried to find the
answer in groups but didn't found exactly the same problem.

When I switch on, I have the videocard test, then the memory test,
then a message that says that my Primary master is detected and then
the "CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded" message.

I read in the newsgroup that it maybe caused by a wrong battery. I
changed it and it's the same.
Some other peoples say that do some changes in the bios could fix the
problem, but I CAN'T enter the bios.

Do you think I have to change my motherboard ? I don't have the doc
anymore, but maybe there is a jumper sequence to reset it ? It's an
Abit KT7-Raid.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Laurent.

Make sure you have a good battery. Uplug the AC cord. Short the clear
comos jumper, then put it back to normal. Plug AC back in and reboot. If
that doesn't work, you might need a new bios chip. You can download the
manual here.
