Post subject: Alternate PC boot method help
Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware (more info?)

My Sony VAIO (Slimtop PCV-L640) keeps rebooting halfway through Win2k
bootup. The interrnal CD is dead (way to expensive to replace) as well as
the internal floppy.

Is there an alternative boot method, or a way to access my HD? Also, my
BIOS doesn't seem to support booting from USB. I'm trying to avoid removing
the HD because it's a bear to do.
