Hello There:

I have an Athlon xp 1400 cpu(See info below) that was been used with sd-ram
(pc133), and looking for motherboads for it, I noticed the ones that support
this cpu they use DDR memory, my question is: I have 512mb of pc2100
memory, would it work for this processor?
Is there any website where I could read more about memory in relation to
that specif processor?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Ma.

The following is what I read in the cpu:

A1400AMS3C
AYHJA 0131VPCW
Y6699231365
1999 ZMD

It's not an XP. it's a 1400MHz Athlon C, thunderbird core, the C
indicating for a defauylt 133MHz FSB. This cpu should run on any socket A
MB that supports a 133MHz FSB. It will also run on a 100MHz board but at a
reduced speed of 1050MHz. Your PC2100 memory will work on any board that
supports DDR ram. If you want an upgrade path, buy any socket A board that
supports a 200MHz FSB (400FSB). You can find these new for under $50.
