Hello everybody,
I just bought a second-hand CPU having the following signature:
AXMH1800FHQ3C.
I put that one inside a mobo Asus A7V8X-MX-SE (that at present works
perfectly with an Athlon 2.4) and the CPU is recognized as "AMD Athlon(tm)
4". I have some problems: with the FSB set to 133MHz there is no way to go
over the 800MHz! The Mobo does not permit me to set the multiplier from the
Bios (upgraded to the last one available) and there is no way to get the
1533MHz.

The motherboard permits a particular switches-setting that allow to unlocked
CPUs to set manually the multiplier ...

"The option to set the CPU core bus frequency multiple is available only on
unlocked CPUs. If you are using a locked CPU, setting the switches does not
produce any effect".

With that combination the system does not even make the boot ... help
needed! Smile
How would you procede to get the expected clock?

TIA

your running 6x133fsb at the moment.

you can play around with this app.

pin mod is probably the best option to get the most out of the chip.

here's a link that covers your board. they talk about a faster mobile but the principle will be the same.
