No, actually I'm not either of those. I'm just pointing out what I see
from what you wrote.
The worst part of it all, is that you 'COULD' have taken what I said
and learned from it, But I ccan see that you let things get way too
personal with yourself. YOU ask ME (as well as everyone else in the
NG), to boycott CC because of YOUR experience, an experience that as I
see it, is as much your fault as CCs, if not more so. I am not a jerk,
but I am someone that has bought TONS of stuff, from computers to
cars, to every kind of car part you could imaging, any computer part
you can imagine, guns, home electronics, tools, machinery, houses,
anything you can think of, and can honestly say that I have been
screwed not one time that I didn't get things made even in the end.
You make this big complaint about being screwed, when the basis of it
is that you didn't bother to find out when and if the rebate would
end, and shorted yourself by waiting too long. That's NOT what a
prudent person would consider being screwed.
So if you don't want to take advice from a guy that's had a zillion
sucessful purchaces, with virtually zero failures, fine, but the name
calling is just childish.

As I said before: Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I'm sure if
you wait around for a while and do some research, You'll find the same
or even a better deal somewhere.

You should start drinking prune juice and KY jelly cocktails right now,
that will make things a lot smoother.

It comes down to is it worth the trouble. It's just a computer, not worth the
aggravation to me.
There are so many places to buy computer hardware I would have just walked out
and never returned. With so much competition it's not a good idea to be pissing
off customers.

I'm not saying you are wrong about how it should have been handled on their
end. They should have tried to make you happy within reason. That's how you
keep customers, but because that wasn't the case then you should have walked
out. Sooner or later if that happens enough the business will suffer.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

trouble..LOL!

No, I actually never thought of hitting him.

How did you know he was lying when you did not even look at the rebate slip?
You have no idea whether he lying or not since you weren't informed on the
rebate in the first place. If you had, you would have never gotten into this
whole mess. Don't expect minimum wage salespeople to know anything about the
products they sell.

That's nice. My point still stands saying someone's actions are stupid is
the same as calling them stupid. It's no surprise he responded to you the
way he did. From your replies in this thread to anyone who offered a
differing opinion, it's obvious you don't know how to communicate
effectively. Talking down to people won't get you anywhere.
