Has anyone had or solved this problem: Only with Abit BE7 raid and BE7-2
after installing Kaspersky anti-virus 5 there is a 5 minute wait just before
the Windows XP desktop appears.

Absolutely nothing can be done during this time and the processor is at 100%
usage continuously with no hard drive activity. This period coincides with
activity by klif.sys, a part of Kaspersky Antivirus, but my other Abit
boards, BX6, BX133, ST6 do not have this long pause with the same Kaspersky
program. There is nothing about it in Abit or Kaspersky FAQs.

I don't think there is much of a reason to think that it is an abit
problem. Have you tried doing a google newsgroup search yet? Perhaps
maybe: "winxp kaspersky 5". Then sort by date.

Usually you will only find solved problems in FAQ sections. Meaning,
if its a new problem then it hasn't been solved cuz its not in the
FAQs.
