What an Idiot, What the hell do you think a matched pair is? It's two sticks
of memory of the same brand, size, type and CL ratings but they come in
pairs. To be sure you get just that it's best to buy the memory in matched
pairs at the same time. Because if you buy the sticks one at a time the size
and CL ratings may be the same but it's not guaranteed that the chips
themselves would be from the same manufacturer or out of the same batch and
that IS going to make a difference. Yes Dual Channel operation is a function
of the board but there is memory sold to take full advantage of this
function with additional features added for the memory to work together in
this function. By this I mean optimized SPD for Intel's 875/865 chipsets for
running dual channel memory. Hell go look at Corsairs web page or any other
high quality manufacturer, they sell memory in pairs for use on these
boards. Go look at Newegg for Corsair memory even they sell it this way.
Your acting here like I said something was wrong with your choice of memory
when I said it was good memory. All I ever said was you should buy it in the
matched pairs for optimum performance on the board.
