Hi,
I think I need a Bios-update, but I really don't know what motherboard
is in it.
I already tried several programs to detect it, but still I'm not sure.
Here is some information I found:
PC is a DEC Venturis FX 5100
Phoenix Bios Version 4.05 for Intel
Bios date 05/20/96
OEM Intel
Int-13H Bios extension: Yes version 1.x Fknt41.48
Chipset SiS 5511 rev.0 Pentium PCI Chipset
It's a Pentium 100Mhz.
I tried to build in a harddisk 8,4 Gb In the bios it is recognized, but
the computer doesn't start up to Windows I tried with a diskette but it
doesn't work.
I searched for solutions but I really don't know it anymore.
Please can someone help me?
Thanks

I have no idea whether this will help, but it appears to be the latest BIOS
(15 Oct., 1997):

or, the file itself:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://h18000.www1.hp.com/legacysupport/digital/zips/00000038.EXE" target="_blank">http://h18000.www1.hp.com/legacysupport/digital/zips/00000038.EXE</a>

If you didn't know, DEC was consumed by Compaq, which merged with HP.

Best of luck.
