I've never had a problem flashing the bios of any device (not just
computers) ever. And I've done thousands of flashes.
For motherboards, one secret is to NEVER flash under Windows. Flashing
is a BIOS or command line (DOS) operation.
And, of course, the other issue is to always be absolutely certain that
you have the right BIOS. Flashing the wrong BIOS is a sure way to
convert the target into a paperweight, but is the responsibility of the
technician.
