Hi
I`ve posted in here a few times about probs with Epox 8RGA+ Corsair memory
and my xp2400+
Even though Epox have admitted the problem to me they will still not advise
Overclockers UK (Where I bought the board) to replace it with another model,
Nor have they offered to replace the memory I bought.
They strung this out between the two of them just to take me beyond the 28
day limit for returns.
They replaced the board saying that it was faulty, It wasn`t and now Epox
have just admitted that the solution they gave me (below) does not work,
and yet Overclockers still will not accept responsiblity and exchange my
board.
The Corsair memory is in fact incompatible with the chipset you can actualy
boot the machine with 3rd party or generic RAM type to bring the memory
timings down, Then it should be fine to replace the corsair memory back in
the board.
The machine now locks up during gameplay.
They then stated that the memory timings should be adjusted from 6,2,2,2.0
down to 7,3,2,2.5, This did not work at all.
Overclockers did not know of this problem and would not contact Epox
themselves to clarify, I had to forward an Email from them to Overclockers
myslelf.
I then changed the graphics card because they said that it was the IGP
chipset on the board causing the problems, I did with a GeForceFX card, It
did not help.
When I replied I got no answer.
A fortnight went by, I then contacted Overclockers about returning the board
because I have had enough, They then told me that the 28 days had expired
and they would not do anything of the sort.
In no part of either Overclockers nor Epox websites does it state that
Corsair memory does not work with these boards, NO WHERE!
When mentioning this to Overclockers they told me that the board accept
DDR400/PC3200 memory and it couldn`t be the memory causing the problem and
yet Epox have openly admitted the problem but have decided to threaten my
ISP account with closure if I email them again.
Epox stink and so do OverclockersUK, They have stolen monies from me under
false pretencies, And false advertising.
Please do not make the same mistake as I did, Avoid Epox boards and
Overclockers at all costs.
Thanks for reading

If you could post with a less offensive name or a real e-mail address
we might take you seriously...

I would never use a real email address in newsgroups or even a mudged one.
I don't like spam. By all means if you like getting spam to your email
account,
then use a real email address in newsgroups. My ISP even suggests that we
don't use real email addresses in newsgroups. On the less offensive name
I agree with you on that.
