Post subject: Bad Memory = Re-install
Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware>pc-homebuilt (more info?)

I've hadto diagnose four faulty PCs recently.
2 had cheap PSU
2 had bad memory.

Of the latter, 1 had so many bad addresses as to cause memtest to scroll
constantly, the other only had one bad address.

In the case of bad memory I would only fell happy with a complete re-
install. The registry etc could be fubared. Any other approaches?
