I want a Bluetooth desktop for my pc, because my current wireless keyboard
doesn't have the range I need. I know Microsoft make a Bluetooth keyboard,
but I've heard some bad things about it, like the receiver is incompatible
with other bluetooth devices that aren't Microsoft manufactured. Is this
true? I don't have any Bluetooth devices right now, but I don't want to
find that I can only buy MS products in the future if I buy this bluetooth
desktop setup now. Are there any other bluetooth keyboard and mouse setups
out there that you of, that may be better? Thanks. >> Stay informed about: Bluetooth Desktops? |

I have the MX700 mouse and Internet Navigator (wired) keyboard. These are
both excellent, I would suggest the Bluetooth version is pretty good, but
not cheap at around £110.

That will probably wrap at least once!
Looks like you're in the UK - this is the cheapest I found:

The MX700 mouse is quite simply the best mouse I have ever used.
The keyboard is nice too, a little clicky for some, but I find the tactile
feedback nicely weighted, and the flat design pretty good too. The only
gripe I have is the F Lock key being in the non-standard position by
default, but I have a way around that as I don't use the special functions.

That was pretty handy info', thanks. So you'd recommend the Logitech over
the MS option? I notice that the MS Bluetooth system is about £85, which is
a significant difference. I have a wireless Logitech standard desktop, but
want the extra range of bluetooth. Thanks again though.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Bluetooth Desktops? |

Never used the MS Option, but I know the Logitech MX mice are technically
better.

Indeed.

Well at the end of the day it will come down to what you prefer to use. I'm
just saying I'm happy with my Logitech keyboard and mouse, which are the
same design as the ones in the Bluetooth kit.
