Hello Group,
I have an old clone w/ MS-6117 board and AMI BIOS v.1.8.
I have 2 HDD:
WDC WD84AA - primary master
Quantum Fireball EL2.5A - secondary master

When I boot, there is a 30 second delay before the drives are detected, then
the OS loads, and everything is fine.

If I make the Quantum drive the primary master, and unplug the WDC drive,
there is no delay when booting.

I am considering flashing the BIOS to the latest version, but before I do
that, I would appreciate an opinion on whether this is an issue with the WDC
drive or the BIOS.

TIA,
Charles

I had the drive jumpered for 'dual master' when it was the only drive on the
primary channel, and should have not been jumpered at all.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
