Hi,

I have a Gigabyte Dual Bios motherboard. A few days ago I had a major
problem and the power to my pc was unplugged twice!!?!! This did create a
problem with the hard disks which I have fixed, but now the computer
switches itself on without any human intervetion at all. I was even
standing in front of the pc and watched it switch it self abck on!!! I have
never heard of anything like this happening before. Someone mentioned that
if a com cable from a UPS is attached to the pc, it may send a signal back
into the pc and switch it on, especially if the UPS is about 3 years old.
But I do not have any cable attaching the UPS to my pc.
Any ideas? I think that the mother board may be damaged, but I cannot trace
the problem and I do not know if this is the problem!

Help!

Terry
