I'm looking at replacing my current digital camera (Powershot S30)
with the Powershot SD550. I've recently learned that the S30 will not
work under Windows Vista and Cannon will not have support for it.

How is the SD550? I generally use the camera for family functions,
sports events, vacations, etc. Nothing really fancy.

Any thoughts on the SD550 are appreciated.

Thanks
Charlie

Charlie,
You might want to check into the Canon SD600 - They are $208.00 shipped from
buydig.com.
I got one for my wife, and it's an excellent camera.
Further, I would not recommend that anyone hook their digital camera to the
computer - what with how cheap card readers are these days. A card reader
does not require software, batteries, ac adapters or whatever - it just
makes good sense.
