Post subject: How To Change DVD RW Face Plate
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>cd-rom (more info?)

I feel silly for posting this since it doens't seem like it should be
that hard, but I did a lot of searching on Google and on the newsgroups
and I can't find any posts about it. I just bought a new case for my PC
and it came with these drive doors that go in place of the regular
doors for the optical drives. Unfortunately when I tried to remove the
face plate from the DVD writer it did not come off. It felt like it was
still attached somewhere. I started to unscrew the whole unit but it
started to feel unstable and I got an uneasy feeling so I stopped. Does
anyone know of a diagram I can follow to remove the face plate from my
DVD writer, and CD RW? Thanks,

Steven
