Computer only sees one of my DVD players

On its own, my PC bios recognises the Samsung DVD player
If I fit the Liteon DVD writer, it sees that but does not recognise
the Samsung.
I've tried changing the jumpers

Neither windows, dos, nor bios setup can detect the Samsung when the
Liteon is connected?

Any solution?

Is this the best group to ask?
