I can't get this to work:

----->DSL Router
|
|----> Computer 1
|----> Computer 2
|----> Open Port
|----> Wireless router -->> Laptop

The laptop can't see the network with the computer 1 and computer 2. I
can ping them, but they won't show in the "Entire Network" for me to
connect to.

"Computer 1" has a shared printer that I would like to access from my
laptop.

What am I missing?

Thanks
David

Thanks! Would you know if there is a solution?

There has to be two way communications between Computer 1 and Laptop.
The Laptop is likely able to see Computer 1, but Computer 1 is not able
to see back Laptop due to the router in between, therefore you cannot
establish a Windows file-printer sharing connection between them.

Of course there is.

First, are you trying to use the WAN port on the second, wireless router?

That won't work the way you probably want it to work, so to get started on the
right foot, connect the wireless router to the primary router via LAN ports on
both, and make sure the wireless router doesn't have DHCP enabled (if you are
in fact using DHCP) so it won't conflict with the primary router - which will
provide DHCP servers for the entire LAN...

Yeah, as Daytripper said, don't connect the second router to the first
via the WAN port. Dedicate one LAN port on each router to connect to
each other. Leave the WAN port completely empty on the second router.

Thanks guy...I'll try the DHCP off idea...I think that's it.

You basically just repeated his issue.

he needs an Access Point, or better yet, replace the wired router with a wireless router. simple.
