Has anyone tried running 184 pin DDR memory that's not dual channel on an
ECS K8T890-A motherboard?

There is no such thing as dual channel memory (at least not for PCs).
There is dual channel operation or mode, but the memory is the exact
same stuff used in single channel operation. With AMD64, the memory
controller is on the processor, not the motherboard or chipset.

Actually to run dual channel on this motherboard you need two sticks
of ddr with the same density.
Also beware that the AGP slot on this board is (hay)wired to the pci
bus which theroreticaly runs at x1, but found that the performance
was actually less.
Don't get this mobo if you expect to use the agp and expect any video
performance.
One other thing, this board does NOT support dual core as Fry's has
been selling this mb-cpu combo.
