Greetings: I'm having a weird burner problem. When I burn some file
types I get data verification errors in the form of Data error cyclic
redundancy. The weird thing is that I can burn most file types without
a hitch. But it seems that .avi files sometimes fail verification, and
so do large .rar files. I've tried repacking the .rar files which show
no other problems to no avail. I've tried different media, which made
no difference. I've tried 3 different software packages with the same
result. I'm running a Dell Inspiron 1100 with a slim Samsung sn-374f.
I tried updating the firmware to the latest version without change.
I'm running w2k all patched. Any suggestions would be welcome.
