I flashed my sn25p bios to the Y version and, at first, it worked fine.
However, when i changed the default settings and rebooted the pc died ("Fans
Of Doom!"). I tried resetting the cmos, removing the battery for 24hours,
unplugging all the periphs. (ram/vga/hd/cd) except the keyboard to see if it
would beep, but nothing has worked.

Can someone give me an idea of the cost of replacement of the bios chip
and/or mainboard?

Dan

Have you tried power-on with the insert key pressed.
I had a locked up SN41G2 with a CMOS that wouldn't clear until I did
that.

My sn25p died a couple months after I got it. After calling support
we agreed it sounded like a bad power supply and they let me just
send back the power supply for a new one. I only had to pay shipping
to send mine back since it was still under warranty. Everything has
been fine since I got the new psu.
