Hi,
I have a SiS 6215 display card, and its been functioning fine for over
3 yrs now, but suddenly my display is corrupted with several fine
dotted horizontal lines. It happens a lot while working on Windows,
but alsp happens sometimes on startup and in DOS mode (while playing
games), so I doubt if its a software problem.
Even as I write this, there are several hundred of these lines on the
screen, and these change as I type. And whenever i scroll any window,
the display goes wild, changing into various hues as I drag the
scrollbar.
I have tried reinstalling the display card, purrin it in different PCI
slots etc, but there's been no improvement.
In Safe Mode, the problem is only 2% of what it is in normal mode.
If you have any suggestions, please do post.
TIA,
Drake >> Stay informed about: Display Problem, please help |

Make sure card is inserted fully into the slot, may have came loose.
Also make sure powersupply mb connector is not loose either. I once
had a video card problem because I had knocked the PSU connector a bit
loose.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Display Problem, please help |
