Hello,

now i got a bigger PSU with 25A at the 12V Line (Enermax EG365). I'm
unable to soft start the PC after a shutdown by operating system. The
system hangs without any beep and running drives. After switching off
the whole psu the PC will start again. What happens here with the
softstart?

Dragon Lite KT400
AMD Athlon XP2000+
Enermax EG365
2x 256MB Infineon at Slot 1/3
Geforce3ti

Bye Eric

Do you mean to say it worked fine before the PS change. Change it back if
you can. Make sure your switch hook up to the case is plugged in and the
power is cable is seated and fastened.

No with the old psu i have to switch the power many times to get the
system up. With the new enermax i must cut the power on the psu to get
the system up after a soft shutdown.

bootup routines.

Remove everything but the vid card, 1 hd, floppy and 1 stick of
memory. Disable all onboard nic, audio etc. Try it. If it works start
adding 1 item at a time until you find out who is not playing fair.
Throw him out of the game.
