oh, it can definitely be done.. but the question is.. HAS IT ALREADY?

not sure if this will work or not... but....(this will be expensive, by the
way!!!)...

get two identical mice and two identical keyboards (so that the color of the
individual wires inside the cables will be the same, hopefully)... cut the
wires of both mice,... match colors, and splice (those super-thin) wires
together so that you have two PS/2 or USB connectors and a single mouse...
don't forget to also splice the ground (shielding) if any...

do the same for the keyboard...

by the way.. there's NO guarantee that this will work... for several
reasons... but... then again.. there's no guarantee that this will fail
either... also... i'd ask an electronics engineer... because there will be a
chance that this will cause damage to either computer.. or maybe even the
mouse or keyboard...

therefore... i must ask.. what is this hair-brained scheme? would it be okay
if you connected keyboard and mouse to only one, and wrote a server-type
device driver that transferred any keyboard or mouse data to a client-type
device driver on the second computer, so that the second can act the same
way as the first?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
